| 21 July 08 | Our facebook page has hit over 1,000 friends and counting. We have over 200 international Backpacker Hostels, over 400 travelers and aver 300 volunteers on our profile. If you would like to join click on the Facebook log to be part of the fastest growing Guide on Facebook. |
| 21 July 08 | The Guide is looking at options to build in various booking systems into our site. These booking systems will not be compulsory but allows travelers to book online if they would like to use that option.The How to Cook section will also be upgraded and added to more often, please feel free to email us your favorite cooking tips. |
| 18 July 08 | The Hitchhikers Guide will now be creating similar systems for International Hostel owners. We have had allot of enquiries about when we plan to spread to the international market.We will also be building in more systems for activities and volunteering organisations in South Africa, these will be built in to the main Google Maps pages. |
