The most incredible location in Jeffreys Bay, Island Vibe is perched on a sand dune overlooking the Indian Ocean. Kitchen Windows – an awesome surf break for first timers and pro’s - is a mere trot down the dune; and swimming is a stone’s throw away. Many mornings you will wake to dolphins lolling past or zipping through waves; during July to October the Southern Right Whale comes to play in the bay clearly visible from one of our secluded decks.

Quiet areas are abundant: find a deck, laze on the lawn, play some pool, wander down to the beach.

Accommodation

Accommodation is a feast of choice. Camp on our sprawling lawn and wake to the splash of waves first thing the morning; grab a bed in one of our clean and comfortable dorms, which lead onto the garden and overlook the magnificent sea or snuggle in a cozy wooden cabin with uninterrupted beach view. To spoil yourself immensely, book one of our en suite rooms in the beach house - these are our quieter quarters at the foot of the dune, with separate kitchen and barbeque facilities from the rest of the backpackers. The rooms lead onto a balcony giving you that panoramic ocean view and all are furnished in such a way as to make comfortable double, triple or family rooms. And to beat it all, you can order brekkie in bed!

Entertainment

Island Vibe’s party atmosphere is well known and thus our vibrant bar and awesome surf side restaurant areas need to be mentioned! The restaurant is open all day, culminating at 19hh30 with a delicious value- for –money communal dinner which ranges from the authentic SA Braai (BBQ) to a Mexican feast or finger licking chicken curry. The bar is the area to let your hair down and really enjoy your self, either by making new friends, sipping new drinks or simply sitting on a couch and watching everyone else..
